R-blends

This week in spelling we are working on r-blends. Students have selected ten words that contain one of the following beginning blends: br, cr, dr, fr, gr, pr, and tr. Among the spelling and word work activities we will be completing at school this week are reading poems with l-blends and r-blends, partner reading Fran and the Prom Dress, finding r-blend words in books, sorting r-blend words, and color coding our spelling words. Our partner assessment will be held on Friday.
