Combination “ir”

Last week we introduced “bossy r” by working with the “er” pattern. This week we are focusing on our second r-controlled vowel, “ir.”   “Ir,” as with each of the other “bossy r’s” is often referred to as a combination as it contains one vowel and one consonant that together make a new sound.
