Vowel Team oa

This week’s spelling and word work pattern will focus on a fourth vowel team, oa.  First graders will discover that this vowel team makes the long o sound and is usually used at the beginning or in the middle of a word.  With a short week, students are encouraged to practice a few additional times at home.  They will complete their partner spelling assessment on Friday.
