Global Day of Play!

February 1st, 2023 was Global School Day of Play! The Summit joined thousands of schools all over the globe by participating in a day dedicated to unstructured, screen-free play for all students. At The Summit, we celebrate learning on a daily basis, but Global Day of Play is a great way to help spread the word that play is more than just fun.

We celebrated on Thursday with a whole day of fun! Students in Lower School had access to many themed zones of play throughout the day, including creativity, movement, dramatic play, building and more! Some favorites included fort building, board games and STEM! They were free to discover and explore throughout many classrooms and common spaces. Early learners through fifth graders played side-by-side for a day full of fun and learning through play.
