Drury Hockey Guest Reader

Today, the Drury Hockey Team paid a special visit to The Summit to read to the students in Kindergarten and throughout the school. We were lucky to have them join us during our literacy time. The students were captivated by the player’s presence and were eager to learn more about hockey. He read “Dino-Hockey”, a story that taught us about facing our fears and pursuing our dreams. I always enjoy when students have the chance to listen to others read, as it allows them to learn and be inspired by individuals outside of the classroom. After his reading, the player spoke about his experience as a college hockey player. The Summit has been invited to the Drury Hockey game this Friday, and the students are thrilled at the chance to attend a hockey match!
