Student-Led Conferences

Student-Led Conferences A Success | Ridgefield School District

Student-led conferences will be held, tomorrow, March 1. Students have been preparing all week and they are so excited to share their progress with you. Student-led conferences are valuable because they give students the chance to exercise agency over their own learning. They promote responsibility, self-reflection, goal-setting and leadership skills.

Tomorrow, first graders are in charge! They are excited to give you a tour of their favorite parts of the classroom, share work samples including a sample of their writing and reading you a book at their “just right level”, as well as teaching you about something they have learned in first grade! They have worked to make self-reflections, and have even brainstormed strategies about how to get better at the skills they want to keep working on!

See you there!
