We had a very exciting morning! During carline, Maven the Raven was outside to greet us, accompanied by some tunes from Mr. Powers! When first graders got to the classroom, Ms. Ursino was mysteriously missing and Ms. Amy was there in her place! Ms. Amy brought the first graders back downstairs to visit Maven the Raven. We had a dance party, lots of hugs and took some pictures. The first graders were excitedly shouting “It’s Ms. Ursino! It’s Miss Ursino!”. And they were right! I had an amazing time dancing and greeting all of The Summit’s students and staff this morning, but especially my very own first graders! When I asked the first graders how they knew it was me in the Maven costume, I realized just how observant they are! Turns out my rings and fingernail polish, along with my height, gave me away! One student said “I was wondering why Maven was a little shorter than usual”! What a fun and silly way to start our Friday! As Ms. Amy would say: CAW CAW!!
